Test 3 — North of Gorham??
I have lived in NH for 10 years and have never been north of Gorham. I have always wondered what was up there and what the country side looked like. Whenever I would venture north I would always stop at the edge of the white mountains. After looking at a map I pointed the KLR north and head d for Lake Francis to explore the top part of the state. I camped to nights at Lake Francis state park, which I have come to learn is a fisherman’s paradise. While staying there people looked at me as if I had two heads when I said that I did not fish. I did enjoy a short trip over the border into Canada so that I can say I have moto-traveled internationally! It was enjoyable to witness the clear line between the US and Canada, with NH being filled with lakes and mountains and upon crossing the border you are in clear rolling farm land.
Yet again, a successful trip and nothing broke! The KLR is truly performing above expectations especially considering the shear weight of all the gear I have packed onto it. Time to dry out the tent, do some laundry and hit the road.

I saw a moose!
Finding some beautiful trails and roads to lead me back from grafton notch in Maine around old Spec Mtn and back into Gorham, NH

I would call that two wheels off the ground! She may be loaded down but you can still have some fun! |
This is facing north directly after crossing the only boarder crossing in northern NH into Canada. I found it interesting to see how drastically the landscape changed.
In northern NH fishing seems to be a requirement, I got many a side ways looks when I explained that I was not fishing and was simply traveling around.
